A bright and beautiful apron for Easter

Juliet Bawden shows how to make and decorate an apron, using Dylon fabric paints, for spring time on her blog creativesalvage.com

Rather than Easter bunnies or eggs I thought it would be  fun to make a spring like apron. The design is very simple and it has a pocket at the front.  If you don’t feel like making an apron you could copy the design onto a tee shirt.  The canvas used here is  easier than a stretchy tee shirt  to work on, as it can be held rigid by masking taping  it onto a work surface. The apron was made first and then the outline of the flowers, grass and bee were drawn on using tailors chalk. The outline was then traced over using  a fabric pens and then fabric paint was   applied using  a combination of a brush and a sponge.
